Preparing for any job interview is a stressful process, however, you can make it more interesting and enjoyable. Your well-crafted professional story can make you stand out from other candidates during your job interviews. Most of the job interviews starts with following questions;

At this point, it is your compelling professional story which can make or break the rhythm of your job interview. Your professional story can do wonders if prepared and communicated well.

Following tips can help you in preparing your profession story.

1 Start your story with best hook: Use your communication magic in your very first sentence to catch the attention and managing the impression of interview panel. All effective communication start with perfect hook. For example, "When I was working as a manager, I learned a valuable lesson that I still use in my career today." It will for sure grab the attention of the panel and they would like to know more about you. Doing it perfectly, will most likely turn the interview in your favor. Remember all great books and movies use best hook.

2. Make your story relevant: Your story should be relevant to the job you're applying for. You must know what skills set and qualities are required for this job, so speak clearly about your relevant skills set and qualities which will provide best fit. For example, if the job requires strong public speaking skills, talk about time when your communication skills did wonders. If leadership skills are required talk about how you successfully led your team on specific important project.

3. Use the STAR method: In all such situations, STAR method is a popular way to structure stories for interviews. It stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result. Start by describing the situation or problem you faced, then explain the task you were given. Next, talk about the action you took to solve the problem, and finally, describe the result or outcome of your actions.

4. Highlight your achievements: Your potential employer is more interested to know what you will bring in to their organization, so speak about your achievements and accomplishments. Talk about a time when you went extra miles for achieving your objective, or when you received recognition for your work. This will show that you are highly motivated candidate.

5. Be concise: While you want to tell a good story, your story must be concise and to the point. While telling your story keep on watching nonverbal cues of the interview panel to know where to stop. STAR method will always keep you focused.

6. Practice your story: Before the interview, it is recommended to practice your story loudly to know your all key points and refining the delivery during interview. You can also practice with a friend or family member to get feedback.

Remember to make it relevant to the job you're applying for, use the STAR method to structure your story, focus on your achievements, and practice before the interview.
